SORD Technologies' key focus is the completion and commercialisation of it’s remotely operated ‘keyhole’ mining system.  Known as the SORDMiner the mining system has been designed to remotely target and remove resources in deep wet collapsing environments. 

The SORDminer has been developed over a 10 year period with the input of the SORD team, its engineering consults and the Australian Commonwealth Scientific Industry Research Organisation (”CSIRO”).

SORD Head Commences Trials

The SORD Head has commenced above ground  trials at the facilities of mining engineering company RCR Thomlinson in Bunbury Western Australia.  Trials will proceed for the following two months.  The Shield Deployment Tool will then be completed and tested before the first inground trials begin in early 2008.
